"From now on, be as well-behaved as you were today. Don't make me angry. Now, go cook."
Phoebe Faulkner was speechless.
'What's wrong with him?'
'Did the injury scramble his brains?'
Phoebe Faulkner looked at Jace Lennox worriedly. "Lennox..."
Seeing Phoebe Faulkner still address him so distantly, Jace Lennox's gaze turned cold.
His icy glare made Phoebe Faulkner stop short.
"I'll go downstairs and cook then."
"Mm."
Dragging her limping leg, Phoebe Faulkner fled the room as if escaping.
She didn't go down to cook. Instead, she went to check on her second brother first.
He was still sleeping, so she didn't go in to disturb him.
Downstairs, Phoebe Faulkner was about to cook when Finn Vaughn blocked her path. She looked at the man before her in confusion. "Finn, is something wrong?"
