GROWL~ In the end, it was the rumbling from her stomach that saved her, making Jace Lennox shift his gaze from her face to her belly.
"Haven't you eaten?" Jace Lennox asked.
Phoebe Faulkner was so furious she wanted to bite him. If he hadn't made her so angry, she wouldn't have lost her appetite and thrown the meal she'd painstakingly prepared into the trash.
"Go change your clothes." Jace Lennox lifted Phoebe Faulkner and set her on the floor.
Phoebe Faulkner looked up at Jace Lennox. "What for?"
"What do you think? Who's the one who's starving because she threw her dinner in the trash?" Jace Lennox gave Phoebe Faulkner a look like she was a complete moron. "I've seen stupid before, but you take it to a whole new level."
