Holly Wyatt stared at the two of them with a strange look in her eyes, her hand gripping the cup tighter and tighter.
Silas Thornton's dark gaze landed on the pair at the door, and he instinctively moved to shield Holly Wyatt behind him.
'What are you looking at?! Their eyes are practically popping out of their heads! What's so strange about it? So she spoke a few words. Have you never seen a person talk before? Freaks!'
Mr. Fletcher stumbled toward Holly Wyatt, his lips trembling and his face alight with excitement. "My child… my child… You can speak?"
Holly Wyatt's lips pressed into a tight line as she stared at them without saying a word.
"Sister!" Nathan Fletcher filled the small space in front of Holly Wyatt. "I just heard you at the door… talking with… him. Can you call me 'brother'?"
Nathan Fletcher stared at Holly Wyatt expectantly, but out of the corner of his eye, he kept glancing at Silas Thornton.
