During her time in Aethelgard, Annelise Valentine hadn't been idle.
After waking up, she'd either go on a shopping spree at the major malls, snapping up the season's new arrivals, or she'd get beauty treatments, practice yoga, and work out. Occasionally, she'd even find a dance studio to get some practice in.
In the evening, Jett Westgate would return right on time, take off his jacket, roll up his sleeves, and head into the kitchen.
He still cooked simple, home-style meals, but his effort and improvement were plain to see.
Annelise even began to look forward to the evening's menu.
He'd still be the one to clear the dishes, and afterward, the two of them would curl up on the sofa, grab their phones—and start gaming together.
With Jett carrying her, Annelise's rank shot up. She played with growing confidence, even trying out some heroes she never would have dared to use before.
Though she still messed up occasionally, with Jett there to back her up, she had a blast anyway.
