An ink wash painting, steeped in ancient charm, unfurled before them.
The scene was a classic Riverdell landscape. The shades of ink were perfectly balanced, depicting distant mountains and nearby waters, pavilions and small boats, creating an ethereal and profound atmosphere.
Even with her thoughts in turmoil, Annelise Valentine found her gaze drawn to the painting.
Her eyes fell on the bottom right corner of the scroll, where a clear, red seal for "Celestial Harmony Antiques" was stamped.
"Celestial Harmony Antiques?" Annelise murmured.
That was the seal of the Sutton Family's antique shop, one of the eight great families of Riverdell.
The Sutton Family came from a long line of antique dealers and was highly renowned in Riverdell's antique circles.
And Celestial Harmony Antiques was the most famous shop under the Sutton Family's name.
The current owner of Celestial Harmony Antiques was Theo Sutton.
