He let out a cold laugh. Instead of answering immediately, he unhurriedly pulled a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.
Through the haze of smoke, his expression was dark and unreadable.
"Are you begging me?"
Slowly, as if it took all the strength she had, Annelise lowered her head.
