The Blood Crow spread its black wings, circling in the sky.
Tang Wen asked in an uncertain tone, "You mean there are two targets?"
"CAW!"
'One caw should mean it's certain, right?'
He ventured a guess and asked a few more questions, to which the Blood Crow responded every time.
'This should be solid now.'
Tang Wen was relieved that he could communicate smoothly with the Blood Crow.
He took out a special treat: food made from a mixture of minced Exotic Beast Meat, Beast Blood, and Maize.
They were meatballs the size of Maltesers, cooked medium, still bloody and perfectly tender.
After eating its fill, the Blood Crow flew about even more joyfully.
It was having a grand time frolicking in the air.
It flew toward the barren hills.
Horse and deer hooves crushed the dehydrated, weathered stone shards on the ground as a south wind kicked up flurries of sand and grit.
