Elliot Sheridan took a sharp breath, his warm hand sliding under her blouse.
He also had Owen Sawyer call for a doctor.
Elliot carried Georgia Thorne straight into the master bedroom. The doctor, who was already waiting, came in with his medical bag and examined her.
"It's nothing serious. Just a stomachache from drinking too much. Some painkillers should do the trick." The doctor was getting on in years and tended to ramble. He recognized the young woman as the same one he'd seen three years ago and guessed she and Elliot Sheridan must have a good relationship.
Elliot Sheridan grunted in acknowledgment, turning to look at Georgia Thorne, who was lying curled on her side on the bed.
After the doctor was seen out, Owen Sawyer left as well.
Elliot Sheridan boiled some water and popped two pills out of a blister pack.
He sat on the edge of the bed. "Georgia, wake up!"
