"Okay! Goodbye!"
Lucas Lockwood stared at his phone screen for a long time until it automatically locked. Only then did he slip it back into his pocket.
He leaned both hands on the railing and looked down at the bustling crowd below, but his mind drifted back to her words: "Wish him happiness for me."
"What a pair of idiots!" he thought. "They clearly love each other to death, yet they're missing out on each other because of some ridiculous reasons. Is it really worth it?"
Suddenly, someone tapped him on his right shoulder. Lucas quickly turned his head and saw a slightly chubby little face looking at him with sparkling eyes.
"Dr. Lockwood, I made this sushi myself. Would you like to try some?"
Lucas narrowed his eyes, glanced at the sushi in her hand, and then looked at the little nurse's name tag. Her name was Lily Lynch.
