Amelia Lockhart couldn't sleep.
She kept glancing in Ethan Quinn's direction.
Although it was still pitch black around them, she could vaguely make out the silhouette of the person opposite her.
'Ethan Quinn must be asleep, right? He's lying there so still, he has to be asleep, right?'
Amelia Lockhart hesitated for a moment, then decided to keep watching a little longer.
There was no way she could sleep soundly after severely injuring a High God.
After a while longer, Amelia Lockhart was almost certain that Ethan Quinn must be asleep. He hadn't moved at all for the past half hour and was completely silent.
'Huh? He hasn't moved at all?'
Amelia Lockhart's heart suddenly skipped a beat. 'Could that bucket of water have caused some hidden injury? Did he pass out?'
The more she thought about it, the less she could sleep. Finally, she got up, moving with extreme caution, afraid of waking the possibly sleeping Ethan Quinn.
