Chu Jing stood at the door with his hands clasped behind his back, waiting for the coachman to bring the carriage. Hearing footsteps behind him, he turned and saw Chu Ji. Chu Ji smiled and bowed. "Chu Jing."
"Going to see Mr. Liu?" Chu Jing asked with a nod.
Mr. Liu was one of the tutors in the Marquis Mansion. He was highly educated, and since he did not want to become an official and had a good relationship with Marquis Chu, he had come to the Marquis Mansion to teach. Chu Ji was currently studying under him.
"Yes. Mr. Liu said there are still some issues with my policy essays. With the autumn examinations only three months away, he wants to personally supervise me until I fully grasp the material." Chu Ji put on a slightly distressed look. "I must be too stupid."
"Mr. Liu is a strict person," Chu Jing said with a smile. "He must feel you haven't given it your all yet, which is why he's giving you special attention. Listen to him well."
