The Lord Minister of the Ministry of Rites was dumbfounded.
He didn't lash out at Xu Lei, accusing him of talking nonsense or playing the mystic.
Because Xu Lei had been right about everything.
Besides, the way Xu Lei spoke was nothing like that of an ordinary six-year-old child.
"I am no ordinary person."
Xu Lei was just as direct. "But I don't want anyone to know. Not even my father and mother. I hope you can keep this a secret, my Lord. For now, just pretend you're talking to a junior. Go ahead and pat my shoulder."
And as the Lord Minister of the Ministry of Rites did as he was told...
"Keep this Talisman on you. From now on, if that Demon tries to feed on your Essence Qi again, this Talisman will make you feel it." After saying his piece, Xu Lei cupped his hands in a small bow, then turned and walked back to his father and mother.
