If the number of producers, such as plants, drops to a certain level, or the population of herbivores exceeds the upper alert threshold, a culling mode will be activated.
Carnivores will be allowed to enter and hunt the herbivores, or the herbivores will be driven to other areas until their numbers fall below the lower alert threshold.
Only when the producers in that area have recovered to normal levels will herbivores be permitted to migrate back in.
This cyclical process ensures both the reproduction and survival of the animals while also maintaining the balance of nature.
The Outer Ring, beyond the outer defensive line, is designated as a competitive zone. No restrictions are placed on the creatures in this area, restoring the primitive laws of nature where beings must fend for themselves based on their own abilities.
