What infuriated Cha Heng wasn't that Tang Ruan had injured him, but that she had thrown her Shield away. Although Tang Ruan simply thought the Shield was no longer needed, to Cha Heng, it was a blatant display of contempt.
"Damn it, you dare throw your Shield away in front of me? Just who do you think you are? I'll cleave you in half! Heavy Slash!"
WHOOSH.
The Great Axe chopped down, carrying tremendous Power. Tang Ruan thrust her Spear again. "Thrust!"
CLANG!
A sharp crash echoed out. Cha Heng's palms flared with agonizing pain, and he nearly dropped his Great Axe. Tang Ruan also felt a violent jolt run up her arms as the shaft of her Spear buzzed with the impact.
A petite female Hero and a burly Beastman Hero had clashed head-on in a pure contest of Power—and fought to a draw? Cha Heng's mind went blank. He couldn't comprehend how this was possible.
