It was the first day of class, and the students had all arrived early.
The course was very popular, so it was held in the academy's largest classroom.
Some of these students came from extraordinary backgrounds; some looked like meticulously trained elites, while others were already Ascenders with a measure of online fame.
They had chosen to spend a precious year at the academy for two main reasons. First, they wanted to further refine themselves and improve their strength.
Second, they had social needs. Compared to other groups, academy students had a longer average survival time, which meant they wouldn't find a new acquaintance suddenly gone after a new rule appeared.
Furthermore, judging by the experiences of the first graduating class, who were assigned to various official departments across North Star, it was clear that the groups formed by academy students were destined to become highly influential in society.
