"Lingxue, I'm here."
Jiang Xinghai gazed at Shen Lingxue's stunning figure and called out softly.
Shen Lingxue gave no response.
'Asleep?' Jiang Xinghai paused before the bed, not getting in just yet.
Since Shen Lingxue was the one waiting for him, there was no need to rush things.
He had to set the mood, at least.
In the dim light, he could see Shen Lingxue snoring softly. It seemed she was really asleep.
Jiang Xinghai couldn't help but wonder. 'Is she really asleep? Or is she just pretending out of shyness?'
"Lingxue, if you don't say anything, I'm getting into bed," Jiang Xinghai said, deciding to remain polite.
Shen Lingxue still didn't make a sound.
Jiang Xinghai's eyes narrowed into a smile. 'In that case, I'll just have to set the mood in bed,' he thought.
Without another thought, he moved forward, preparing to slide directly under the covers.
"Wait."
Just as Jiang Xinghai was taking off his pajamas, Shen Lingxue suddenly opened her clear and innocent eyes.
