"Lure us here? What do you mean?" Chu Qianqian quietly sidled up to Zhou Fan and whispered.
"We've walked into a trap. I'm afraid this entire apartment complex is hostile!" Zhang Lei raised his head and scanned his surroundings. Some apartments had their lights on, others were dark—it looked exactly like a normal complex. But years of experience told Zhang Lei something was wrong. It was too quiet!
That's right, it was too quiet. A normal complex would never be this silent. There wasn't the faintest sound of a TV or computer, not even the slightest noise of children playing...
"Not bad," Zhou Fan said, clearly satisfied with Zhang Lei's analysis. "If we make it out of this alive, how about you join me? I'm planning to form a small team to specialize in intelligence gathering. I think you'd be a perfect fit for its leader."
