If he'd had a choice, he would much rather be sound asleep at this hour than running out to the city outskirts in the middle of the night to face the terrifying Advisor.
Unfortunately, a decree he'd suddenly received during the day had left Lloyd with no choice.
Then, Lloyd felt a gaze and an inspiration lock firmly onto him, as if a viper had fixed its eyes on him. Even though he wasn't being affected by any Extraordinary Abilities, his hands and feet turned ice-cold, and he couldn't move a muscle.
