Seraphina Quinn was stunned speechless.
She stared at Cian's expressionless face in disbelief. Her voice sounded muffled and heavy, as if it were stuck in her throat. "You'll take me to see him?"
Cian leaned over slightly, picked up the scarf Seraphina had draped over her chair, and unhurriedly wrapped it around her neck.
His voice sounded a little impatient. "Are you going or not?"
Seraphina was torn.
Of course she wanted to go, but she didn't want to owe Cian any favors.
Or rather, she subconsciously wanted to draw a clear line between them, to have no connection to him whatsoever.
Besides, the reason Damian Fairchild was hospitalized in the first place was because Cian had provoked him.
If she went to see Damian with Cian now, she was terrified it would provoke him into another health crisis.
Therefore, Seraphina said, "I'm not going." She pressed her lips together. "I just need to know that he's okay."
Cian said, "He was discharged from the hospital three days ago."
