Mia Linden's father had been gravely injured during the violent demolition at Solara Bay. After several days of emergency treatment, he was ultimately pronounced dead.
Her mother, overwhelmed with grief, had been hospitalized.
After signing the paperwork for her father's body, Mia had gone to her mother's room to care for her.
Her mother had just fallen asleep, so she'd decided to come out for some air.
She hadn't expected to see Seraphina Quinn and Damian Fairchild at the entrance to the emergency department.
Mia's eyes first fell on the disheveled Seraphina Quinn. Her voice held a probing tone.
"Miss Quinn, you… what happened? Did… a man hurt you?"
Seraphina Quinn ignored her.
Mia then turned to Damian Fairchild. "Mr. Fairchild, Miss Quinn… is she all right? Did you two have a fight about this?"
Damian's attitude toward her was cold. "Why are you here?"
Mia sensed an extremely oppressive aura around Damian.
