Seraphina Quinn felt a pang of guilt, and her whole expression became uneasy.
She averted her gaze, but her voice sounded steady:
"Fairchild, like you, I never get involved in losing deals. Since I've already gone to the trouble of flying to Aurelium overnight to find you, I'm determined to reach some kind of agreement, not return empty-handed."
At this, she pulled her gaze back and fixed it on Damian Fairchild's handsome, seemingly placid face.
"On that basis, whether I'm flattering you or cozying up to Master Fairchild, it's all for the sake of begging you, Fairchild, to go easy on me and Luminous Media."
She paused, then added with a pointed tone,
"Of course, if you don't believe me, Fairchild, and insist on thinking I have ulterior motives, then there's really nothing I can do."
Just as she finished speaking, Damian Fairchild's phone rang. It was Donovan Fairchild.
Damian Fairchild didn't try to hide the call from Seraphina Quinn. He glanced at the caller ID and answered.
