Colin Buckley frowned at his words.
It was true that his own brother had caused the trouble, but disciplining him was a matter for the Buckley family—not for an outsider to meddle in.
But Damian Fairchild was no pushover. Now that he had personally intervened, it wouldn't look good if Colin didn't provide some sort of explanation.
With that thought, Colin Buckley suppressed his irritation and kicked Mr. Buckley sharply in the shin.
"Get over here and apologize to this young lady, now!"
Mr. Buckley felt he was losing face. "She's just a bitch. I did her a favor by offering her a drink. She was asking for it when she turned me down. I'm not the one at fault!"
At that moment, Damian Fairchild slid a hand into his pocket, his voice tinged with a mocking sort of amusement.
