Seraphina Quinn licked her lips and gave a bitter smile.
"But, Damian, I can't take it anymore. I don't want to. I'm so utterly drained... I don't even have the strength to say it hurts."

And with that, Damian Fairchild left her hospital room.
Not long after he left, Mrs. York paid her a visit.
In just one night, Mrs. York had become visibly haggard, stripped of her usual arrogant demeanor.
Seraphina knew why she had come, so she cut her off before she could even speak.
