A member of the gang spoke as he reached for his waist.
In the next moment, however, he suddenly couldn't feel his hand.
It was a peculiar sensation, as if his hand had just fallen off.
He looked down and, by the faint torchlight, saw his own palm drop to the floor.
"Hurry up! What are you dawdling for?"
"Taking this long just to get a key. Let's hope you last longer than it takes to find it!"
...
His companions' jeers didn't snap him out of his stupor. Not until the intense, searing pain finally struck.
"AAARGH—! My hand, my hand!"
After a brief silence, a blood-curdling scream erupted from his lips.
