Anvil had just rushed out of the hovel when he saw Kane and two other newly promoted Believers already confronting Lord Bone.

The Warrior Believer, wielding a Longsword seized from a goblin, roared and took the lead. Relying on his suddenly increased strength and a fearless stance, he actually managed to block a heavy blow from Lord Bone's hammer.
Though the force sent him staggering backward, splitting the skin between his thumb and forefinger, he had ultimately blocked the attack.
Meanwhile, Kane moved like a phantom, circling Lord Bone. Each vicious slice from his broken blade left deep gashes on the goblin leader's leather armor, a deadly distraction.
A short distance away, protected by other Believers, the Mage Believer raised a hand missing its ring finger. He chanted a twisted incantation, and a bolt of negative energy coalesced into a sickly green ray that shot toward Lord Bone.
