The moment the World Will descended felt like an eternity to Gaga.
When the formless pressure finally dissipated, Ian let out a long breath.
He retracted his Order Divine Body. The thousand-foot-tall phantom receded into him like a tide, and he returned to his form as a young Wizard in a dark gray robe.
Then, remembering something, he whipped his head around.
Gaga was still frozen in the same position, wings half-spread, small beak slightly agape.
Its silver-gray pupils were wide and round. The little bird looked as if it had been hit by an Immobilization Spell, solidified in midair.
"Gaga?" Ian called out tentatively. No response.
He called again, but still got nothing.
Ian couldn't help but chuckle. He walked over and gently poked Gaga's little head.
The feathers felt soft and warm, but the little guy didn't move an inch.
