For a moment, the gazes of the various peak Elders drifted. Their minds raced, each lost in their own thoughts.
Upon hearing Hua Du's words, Elder Huu's gaze fell upon Wen Qingye.
"So you're the recently famous Wen Qingye?" Elder Huu asked, his voice low.
Wen Qingye smiled faintly and gave an unconcerned nod. "That's right. I am Wen Qingye."
Elder Huu's face darkened as he stared at Wen Qingye. "Why did you injure a disciple of my Absolute Peak? Fighting amongst ourselves is a grave taboo in the Celestial Profound Sect. Are you aware of that?"
Wen Qingye glanced at Hua Du. "You'll have to ask your own Absolute Peak disciple about that."
A sharp glint appeared in Elder Huu's eyes. He roared, "How audacious! Do you know who I am? How dare you speak to me in such a manner?"
As he spoke, Elder Huu's aura surged, growing so tangible it felt like a physical weight pressing down heavily upon Wen Qingye.
