Facing the Bishop's offer, Zog's first thought was that it was a trap.
'It makes no sense,' he thought. 'Why would the Lord of Hell want to see me? We don't even know each other.'
Besides, ever since the war with Hell ended, the Gate of Hell had been under the Church's control.
Although they claimed to have sealed off all communication with Hell, no one actually believed them.
Compared to the followers of Hell who used petty, evil rituals to summon Low Tier Demons or Devils, the Church's understanding of Hell's creatures was far greater.
You couldn't exactly say they were in cahoots, but they were certainly cut from the same cloth.
Of course, there was no proof of this—it was just Zog's draconic speculation. He never hesitated to assume the worst intentions when it came to the Church.
"Heh." Zog gave a slight smile. 'I see right through you!'
"No need to trouble yourselves. We're confident we can solve this problem on our own," he tactfully refused.
