"Jasper, your dumplings are broken too," Seraphina Ashworth said, pointing at the dumplings in front of Jasper and the other two. She was clearly getting even with them for mocking Caden just a moment ago.
'Only *I* can make fun of my man. I'm very protective of my own.'
Caden's gloom over the dumplings instantly vanished. A soft, brilliant smile blossomed in his dark eyes.
"..." Jasper lowered his gaze to the dumplings he had made. 'I only laughed at Caden a little bit,' he thought. 'Does she have to come at me like that? So cruel.'
Amidst the laughter and conversation, all the dumplings were finished in a little over an hour. If you ignored the small pile of broken ones, the rest were actually quite a sight to behold.
"Alright, take these to the kitchen and steam them," Miss Ashworth instructed, arranging the last of the dumplings.
Seeing there was nothing left to help with, Seraphina stood up and pulled Caden along. "Caden, let's head back to the villa."
