"Wait, I hear something." Yves Reginald stopped abruptly, signaling for the others to halt.
A sudden rustling sound came from the distance, and Yves Reginald's group immediately went on guard.
The sky hadn't completely darkened yet, with only wisps of sunset color remaining. The sound of hurried, chaotic footsteps accompanied the rustling noise, growing closer and closer. Yves Reginald's party finally saw what was happening: a group of people was sprinting toward them, pursued by a dense swarm of snakes. The sight of the multicolored serpents flicking their tongues was enough to make one's skin crawl.
"Shane Sterling!" Jean Reginald frowned, his voice turning ice-cold in an instant. "Damn it, why is he leading that swarm over here?"
'This is a disaster coming out of nowhere. That damn Shane Sterling... nothing good ever happens when he's around. With this many snakes, has he provoked the entire Serpent Clan?'
