Sylvia Blaine was startled when Paul Ashworth suddenly pulled her into his arms. Hearing his teasing, she grew annoyed. "I did not. You must have misheard."
"Oh, really?"
"You definitely did." Sylvia Blaine looked up abruptly, only to have him cover her mouth with his. All she could do was stare at the handsome face before her, her wide, misty eyes filled with bewilderment.
Paul Ashworth found his wife's bewildered expression amusing. "Close your eyes."
After a long moment, Paul Ashworth finally let her go. "Did you hear it that time?" he asked, his voice low and husky. 'Hah, let's see you deny it now.'
"I heard it," Sylvia Blaine mumbled, burying her face in Paul Ashworth's chest. 'He really has me wrapped around his little finger. He pulls this trick every time. I'll get him back for this next time,' Sylvia thought to herself.
