As she stepped out of the tea room and looked up to see Roman Rhodes striding toward her, relief washed over her, and her knees went weak.
Roman Rhodes was dressed in a sharp suit with a striped tie.
His formal attire made it clear he had rushed over from a business meeting.
He strode up to Stella.
He studied her intently for a few moments, his voice deep as he asked, "Are you alright?"
Stella's eyes burned, but she forced a relaxed tone.
"No, your father... just invited me for tea. What could happen?"
Roman looked directly at the reddened corners of her eyes, then pulled her into his embrace. His voice grew hoarse. "Just tea?"
Stella nodded. "White tea. It was quite good."
