The jury was still out on whether Jace Sheffield was one of the good guys.
When Jude Langley returned from his phone call, his expression was complicated. "Looks like dinner's over."
Roman Rhodes unhurriedly set down his chopsticks. "What's wrong?"
"Miles just messaged me. Connor Linden and Jace Sheffield ran into each other at a banquet. Apparently, things got pretty ugly. Seems it was... over a woman."
As Jude Langley's last words fell,
everyone at the table looked up.
"Pathetic," the man said faintly, wiping his fingers with a towel. "Let him make his scene."
Jude Langley raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you going to check it out?"
Roman Rhodes picked his chopsticks up again. "We'll talk after dinner."
Seeing this, Jude Langley thought of something and smiled to himself. "You're right. With you in Oakhaven, the Sheffield Family probably won't do anything to Connor Linden."
The man shot him a look, saying profoundly, "Jace Sheffield is not the Sheffield Family."
