At the round table, Zoe Linden looked at Stella Sterling. "I had the chef prepare a few dishes with mainland flavors just for you. Give them a try and see if they measure up."
Stella Sterling smiled politely. "Thank you, Mrs. Rhodes. After you."
Zoe Linden maintained a smile that was at once dignified, gentle, and approachable.
She invited everyone to begin eating, her conversation thoughtful and elegant.
During the meal, Zoe Linden subtly observed Stella Sterling.
Her table manners were, of course, impeccable.
