The long-overdue embrace soothed their souls.
Stella Sterling nuzzled her head against Roman Rhodes's cheek. "Why did you come out from back there?"
The man caressed the back of her neck. "Next time, have Miles bring you to the VIP exit to wait."
"There's a next time?" Stella Sterling's focus, as always, was on the wrong thing. "How long are you going to be abroad?"
Roman Rhodes set her down, his weary expression softening as he gazed at her. "I'm not leaving, for now."
Stella Sterling beamed, her face lighting up. "You're staying in Calderin?"
"Mhm, staying in Calderin."
Stella Sterling gave a joyful little stomp and started pulling him toward the exit.
"Are you tired? Miles is outside. Let's get in the car."
Roman Rhodes watched her vibrant form, and the exhaustion from the past several days seemed to melt away.
