Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: "The Process Is a Little Painful, Please Endure.

Just as Anna and Annie were preparing to use their trump card, they heard Lian say,

"But, I can clear your red Entries.

"As long as we get rid of the [Heartless] Entry, your hearts should be able to return to your bodies, right?

"I'm not entirely sure, but we can try, can't we?"

Lian placed a hand on his forehead. 'I'm going to have to endure that unbearable pain again, and with two women at the same time.' He felt a bit resistant to the idea.

'But if the pain is doubled, the pleasure from the feedback should be doubled too, right?'

Of course, Anna and Annie didn't believe Lian could clear their Entries.

Because since the day they were born, they had never heard of Entries being clearable.

While some Entries could evolve—for example, a [Quick-Witted] Entry acquired in childhood might become [Erudite] through diligent study, or devolve into [Ignorant and Uncouth] from neglecting one's talents—there was absolutely no mention of an Entry being directly extracted from a person.

'Does he think he's Tiger? Only a god could do something like that, right?'

"He can."

Sophie, the Ice Witch, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke.

In that instant, Anna seemed to understand something. She looked at Sophie in disbelief. "You... he 'cured' you?"

Anna herself wasn't sure if "cured" was the right word, but her mind was reeling from the shock, and she couldn't form a better phrase for a moment.

And the source of this shock was the Ice Witch.

Anna remembered that before Lian arrived, Lord Moria had already sentenced the Ice Witch to death.

If Sophie hadn't obtained the [Bordering on Loss of Control] Entry, why would she have been sentenced to death? Did they need to be so thorough just for an act?

Besides, during that time, Moria constantly had a mournful look on his face; he didn't look like he was acting at all.

'So, the Ice Witch had actually acquired the red [Bordering on Loss of Control] Entry long ago, and the reason she can use her Magic Power freely now is that Lian cleared her red Entry!'

Anna's pupils dilated slightly, and her body trembled.

"So, someone really can do it."

"Sister?"

Annie wasn't as clever as Anna, so she didn't grasp what was going on. She was still thinking about teaming up with her sister to ambush Lian and kill the enemy who knew their greatest secret.

But seeing her sister's reaction, she hesitated.

Annie felt that time was short. A surprise attack while Lian was still unsuspecting was the wisest course of action.

Once he was on his guard, it would be too late.

Thinking this, Annie decided not to hesitate any longer and acted on her own.

Her figure approached Lian like a phantom, the sharp blade in her hand emitting a cold glint.

Just as the blade was a centimeter from Lian's neck, Annie's body was pinned to the Treasure Vault's wall by an Ice Spear.

The spear had pierced her chest, leaving a large, bloody hole.

Blood trickled from the corner of Annie's mouth, her pretty face contorted in a painful grimace.

Although the Heartless could not be killed, the pain left by every battle was incredibly real.

Annie gripped the Ice Spear with both hands and forcefully pulled it out of her body, blood gushing from the wound.

The next second, she hurled the spear at Lian.

An Ice Shield appeared in front of Lian. With a resounding BANG, both the shield and the spear shattered into scattering ice crystals.

"Stop."

Anna stopped Annie.

In just two seconds of fighting, Lian had already figured out the special ability of the [Heartless].

They didn't die even when their bodies were pierced. This Sequence Five Ripper ability possessed by Bloody Mary was truly a weapon of war.

If she used the Ripper ability to create an army of the Heartless, even His Majesty the King would have to be wary of her.

Anna walked over to Annie, pulling her down to kneel before Lian once again.

"Lord Lian, I apologize for Annie's reckless behavior. We are willing to continue with the deal."

Annie looked at her sister in surprise. She clutched the piercing wound on her chest as she knelt with difficulty.

And the horrifying wound was already healing at a rate visible to the naked eye.

This was the Healing Power of the [Heartless], which had turned them into something akin to monsters.

"I just gave you a chance. You didn't cherish it and instead tried to assassinate me again. Now, I refuse."

Lian said coolly.

"I'm sorry, Lord Lian. If you really can clear Entries, please help my sister. I am willing to pay the price for my actions, give up my freedom, and become your servant forever."

Annie said, biting her lip.

She didn't want her recklessness to cause her sister to lose her only chance at a new life.

She was willing to pay for her actions, even if it meant dying right now.

But for a Heartless, even dying wasn't a simple matter.

"No, I am willing to become your servant, as long as you are willing to save Annie."

Anna said, lowering her head.

She knew that her rebellious sister craved freedom more than anything.

"In that case, the older sister will lose her freedom, and the younger sister will gain her freedom. That's fair."

Lian knew that as long as Anna remained by his side, Annie wouldn't leave either.

After all, they were twin sisters with a deep bond.

Besides, punishing Anna would make Annie more regretful than punishing Annie herself.

That was her real punishment.

"Lord Lian, I was wrong! Please don't punish Anna like this. I am willing to atone for my sin with my death."

Annie's eyes reddened as she spoke in a low voice.

"Your death is worthless to me."

Lian waved his hand. "If you don't want to make a deal, you can also choose to leave. I won't stop you."

'The man before me not only has the wisdom to make the Imperial Capital Bank back down, but also the courage to remain fearless in the face of danger. If he can really help us clear the [Heartless] Entry, then following him for a lifetime wouldn't be out of the question.'

Thinking this, Anna stopped Annie from speaking further.

"Lord Lian, from the very beginning, you knew Annie couldn't kill you, right?"

"Yes."

Lian said with a smile, "Now, shall we begin?"

Anna and Annie shared a look of understanding and nodded.

"Sophie, could I ask you to guard the gate?"

Lian looked at Witch Sophie.

Sophie nodded slightly and walked to the side of the gate.

"Anna, Annie."

Lian looked back at the twin sisters. "This process is a bit painful. Please bear with it."

Anna and Annie suddenly had a bad feeling.

Immediately after, Lian reached out, trying to grab the red Entries above the twin sisters' heads.

But the red Entries started jumping around vivaciously again.

Anna's Entry actually hid directly in her deep cleavage. If that was troublesome enough, then Annie's Entry was even more of a handful.

It shamelessly fled into Annie's butt!

Lian felt that this whole business of Cleaning Entries was truly improper.

'I'm a perfectly respectable person, so why am I being forced to do such improper things?'

Most importantly, Sophie was still standing nearby, watching.

Lian wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at the silver-haired, expressionless beauty, Sophie.

Sophie said with a blank expression,

"Should I... make myself scarce?"
