In the Emergency Department director's office, Huo Yun had just finished reviewing a patient's case file and was preparing to create a surgical plan when his phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID. To his surprise, it was from Dean Tang Long.
Huo Yun answered immediately.
On the other end of the line, Dean Tang spoke with the utmost courtesy:
"Director Huo, here's the situation. My cousin was brought to our hospital's emergency department for acute appendicitis. He's always been a proud man who doesn't like to trouble others, so I didn't even know he was sick and hospitalized. I only found out about the situation when my sister-in-law called me today."
"I know it's just a minor surgery for appendicitis, but I'd appreciate it if you could keep an eye on him. Please don't let him know I called. Just be sure to personally oversee his care for me."
