It all happened in a flash.
Su Mu shot backward. At the same time, a figure seemed to materialize out of thin air, charging to meet the two Tier Three Demons.

As Su Mu fell from the treetops, the figure had already slammed into the two Tier Three Demons.
With a tremendous roar, the two Tier Three Demons were thrown back dozens of feet. The human figure, however, was obliterated by the impact, exploding into a cloud of blood and gore in midair.
Wu Yiqi and Xue Shan were busy fighting three Tier Three Demons. They had just fallen back from the woods when they looked over and saw Su Mu being completely obliterated by the two other demons.
Both of them froze, completely stunned.
Dead?
Su Mu's dead?
"We're screwed. This whole thing was a wash. Now that he's dead, who's going to pay me for the rescue?"
Xue Shan muttered to himself.
Wu Yiqi furrowed his brow, a rare sight. 'I don't like people from the Taiping Bureau, so why am I not happy at all that Su Mu is dead?'
