At the sound of the doorknob turning, Megan Kane quickly switched off the TV.
She flopped onto the sofa, pretending to be asleep.
Jason Forrester approached the sofa, his brow furrowed. "There's a ball tomorrow. You're coming with me. I've already prepared a dress for you."
Megan Kane didn't respond. 'If you're going to act, you have to see it through. When you're pretending to sleep, you absolutely cannot open your eyes.'
A humorless smile touched Jason Forrester's lips, and his voice turned sinister.
