A fiery red sun beat down, its scorching heat baking the earth. Amidst a range of volcanoes, a young man gripped a rock, repeatedly smashing it against a lizard pinned beneath him. Its head was already cracked open, spilling a mess of red and white gore.
Qin Ya had brutally smashed the lizard's head to a pulp.
After a long moment, staring at the lizard's obliterated head, he finally let out a breath of relief and collapsed. His back was a mangled, bloody mess.
His head swam as exhaustion washed over him in waves. He shook his head hard to clear it, then glanced at the dead lizard and swallowed hard.
'I've lost so much blood, I'm weak and drained. If I don't find some energy, I'm not going to make it. This place is supposed to be a trial, but there's no guarantee I won't lose my life!'
'Damn it! I, Qin Ya, refuse to die such a pathetic death here.'
