Kelly might have been hopelessly love-struck, but she wasn't a fool.
She bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. "Tiger, are you unwilling to leave the Fuzu Tribe for me?"
"I... I'm not." Meeting Kelly's tear-filled gaze, Tiger subconsciously averted his eyes.
At this point, how could Kelly not understand? Forcing a bitter smile to her lips, she asked the most foolish question of all.
"Tiger, have you ever truly loved me?"
Tiger continued to avoid her gaze, still trying to make excuses. "Kelly, I just don't want you to be separated from your brother because of me."
"I'm just asking if you've ever loved me."
"Kelly, it wasn't easy for me to join the Fuzu Tribe. I don't want to just leave like this."
Hearing Tiger say this, Kelly wiped away the tears that had slipped to the corners of her eyes. "Alright, I understand."
With that, she walked away, looking utterly devastated. Tiger chased after her and tried to grab her arm, but she shook him off.
