Kelly didn't expect Ophelia to propose such a condition. She bit her lip and clenched her fists tightly. "Alright, I agree."
"Good, then we'll give it two days," Ophelia agreed readily. She wanted to see how Tiger would react.
Now that they had cleared the air, Kelly left the room. By this time, the sky had turned completely dark. She wasn't in a hurry to find Tiger and decided to wait until the next day to tell him everything.
It wasn't until the moon was high in the sky that Tyler and Klein returned to the stone house. Seeing them rush back covered in dust, Ophelia hurried to serve them two bowls of clear water.
"Why are you back so late? Did something happen?"
Tyler downed the water in one gulp and wiped his mouth. "Nothing happened. We found the mine."
"So fast?" Both Zerev and Ophelia found it somewhat hard to believe.
Klein patted the pouch on his waist that held the Gold-seeking Rat. "Don't underestimate the abilities of my Gold-seeking Rat."
