Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Scenery Under the Skirt

Ophelia, who was drinking porridge, was so startled by the commotion that her hand trembled. A little bit of the white porridge splashed out, instantly leaving a red mark on her fair skin.

"Princess!" Tyler exclaimed when he saw this. He hurriedly used a corner of his animal skin skirt to wipe her hand.

The two of them were very close, and from the corner of her eye, Ophelia caught a glimpse of Tyler's impressive endowment beneath his animal skin skirt.

"Ahem. So full of vitality early in the morning. Quite impressive," she murmured. Having regained her modern memories, Ophelia was free from her former constraints, fully unleashing her superficial and lustful nature.

Although Loki had hurt her, she still believed in love and enjoyed the feeling of being loved. Moreover, in this lifetime, she intended to be loved abundantly. If they were going to break up, then so be it. Good riddance—the next one would be better.

"Ah! Ophelia, what are you two doing?" a young female's shrill voice rang out in the room.

Ophelia frowned in displeasure, her good morning mood instantly ruined. "Are you blind? I got burned, and Tyler is wiping the water off me."

Miche stepped forward, feigning concern. "Oh my, it's so red from the burn. Guardian Tyler is so considerate.

"Loki, you should learn from him. After all, Ophelia is your female; taking care of her is your responsibility." Miche's eyes grew red with jealousy as she stared at those flawless, white jade-like hands now marred by a red patch. She usually paid attention to taking care of her own hands, but ultimately, they could never be as beautiful as those of Ophelia, the pampered Princess of the Golden Dragon Clan. A flash of envy crossed Miche's eyes, but she quickly hid it.

"Ophelia, did you have Tyler go to the Wizard to fetch the Blood Crystal Stone? The whole tribe is spreading rumors that you are going to dissolve your mate bond with Loki. If you're angry because of me, I can explain. Loki and I are innocent; he hasn't done anything to betray you."

Ophelia gave her a cold look, a sneer playing on her lips. "Is it that he hasn't, or that he wouldn't dare?"

Once a male who had forged a sole mate bond mated with another female, his body would explode, resulting in death. Naturally, the same rule applied to females.

"Naturally, he hasn't. The one Loki likes has always been you. As for me, what we had is in the past." Towards the end, Miche's expression turned somewhat desolate.

Seeing her like this made Loki's heart ache, and he wanted to pull her into his arms to comfort her. "It was my idea to take her to the Wishing Pond. I'm the one who did wrong in this matter; don't make things difficult for her," he interjected.

Ophelia sneered and took out the Blood Crystal Stone from beside her bed. The blood-red Crystal Stone radiated light under the sun, seeming to course with a mysterious power inside.

When Miche saw the Blood Crystal Stone, her breath hitched, and joy surged in her heart. But she quickly calmed down. Loki had not yet ascended to the position of Clan Leader; they couldn't dissolve the mate bond just yet.

Loki suppressed the anger in his heart and softened his tone. "Ophelia, stop making a fuss. I've been quite busy lately and neglected you. It's my fault. Once I become the Clan Leader, I will properly make it up to you, okay?" This was a crucial moment in his competition for the Clan Leader position; he couldn't afford any negative impact caused by his mate relationship.

In the past, no matter how big the issue was, all he had to do was lower his head slightly to gain her forgiveness. He assumed it would be the same this time. However, when he met her icy blue eyes, his heart suddenly tightened.

"I'm not making a fuss. I'm serious." To show her determination, Ophelia bit her finger and squeezed a drop of blood onto the Blood Crystal Stone.

Loki's face grew colder. "Do you really have to take it this far? I've already explained it to you. What more do you want?"

Ophelia tossed the Blood Crystal Stone into his arms and said impatiently, "I've already dripped my blood on it. It's up to you now. If the time limit passes, I will forcibly sever our mate bond."

"What?" Miche gasped. "Ophelia, don't be impulsive! Forcibly severing a sole mate bond won't just cost you half a year of your lifespan; even Loki's strength will be affected! No matter how much you resent Loki, you can't do this. The Clan Leader arena tournament is in just a month. His strength cannot be compromised, or he could lose his life!"

Loki was equally furious.

Just then, the crying wail of a young female cub rang out. A blonde female cub rushed into the room in a panic. The cub's body was completely red, and her face was covered in small red bumps. Anyone with common sense would know she was having an allergic reaction.

"WAAAH! Mother, it itches so much! My face is so itchy!"

Amy had been physically weak since birth, and her sensitive skin was allergic to most pollen. Even the slightest contact would cause her whole body to become inflamed and break out in red rashes. Therefore, when Ophelia learned that her daughter wanted to go to the Wishing Pond to make a wish, she had specifically gone deep into the forest to gather flowers that Amy wouldn't be allergic to. Who would have thought that upon arriving at the Wishing Pond completely exhausted and disheveled, she would hear her daughter make such remarks?

The flowers Amy had held yesterday were casually picked by Miche by the roadside. It was well within Ophelia's expectations that Amy would suffer an allergic reaction.

"WAAAH! Mother..."

"Amy, what happened to you?" Miche squatted down with concern, then suddenly looked up as if she had realized something. "Ophelia, no matter how jealous you are that Amy likes me more, you shouldn't use such a method to punish her. She's your own cub!"

Loki's expression changed drastically. He stepped forward, grabbed Ophelia's wrist, and gritted his teeth as he snarled, "Ophelia, how can you be so vicious? No wonder Amy doesn't like you. You brought this entirely upon yourself."

Ophelia ignored him and lowered her eyes to look calmly at Amy. "Amy, did I really cause you to look like this?"

Amy was already four years old and had been smart since she was little. She naturally knew what had happened to her. "I... I..."

Miche pulled the girl into her arms and consoled her. "Amy, speak boldly and don't worry. With your father and me here, she won't dare do anything to you. If something like this happens once, it will happen again. You need to bravely speak out so there won't be a next time."

Amy was at a loss, panic in her eyes. "Mother, I'm itchy."

Ophelia said nothing, just quietly watching her.

A child was ultimately just a child and lacked patience. She picked at her hands and muttered, "It has nothing to do with Mother. She didn't punish me. I'm allergic to the flowers we used at the Wishing Pond yesterday."

Miche's expression froze. She felt as if her furious accusations just moments ago had turned her into a complete joke.

Loki was also stunned, completely not expecting this to be the truth. However, he refused to lose face. "Since you knew Amy was allergic to pollen, why didn't you prepare in advance? Now you've made her suffer like this."

Ophelia scoffed, glancing at the wilted flowers on the wooden table that had already lost their moisture. "Was it that I didn't prepare in advance, or was your 'family of three' so impatient that you ditched me and rushed off to the Wishing Pond first?"

Loki was speechless. He remembered that yesterday, this little female had repeatedly told them to wait for her to come back so they could go to the Wishing Pond together. It was Amy and Miche who were too anxious, which led to this...

Seeing the flowers on the table, Amy felt a twinge of guilt. "Mother, it really itches. Can you apply the medicine for me first?"

"Right, right, right. It's better to apply the medicine for Amy first. If this goes on, she might scratch her face bloody," Miche chimed in, quickly changing the subject.

The three of them looked at Ophelia with full expectations.

A smile rippled at the corners of Ophelia's lips. "I'm sorry, I'm all out of medicine."

"Then hurry up and gather more! I'm itching to death!"

Ophelia's face remained tranquil, her expression indifferent. "Didn't you want Auntie Miche to be your mother? Ask her to gather medicine for you.

"Besides, you don't even like me as your mother anyway, so you definitely wouldn't want to use the medicine I gather, right?" After saying this, she even blinked innocently.

Miche, Loki, and Amy fell dead silent.
