Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: We Need a War of Expansion to Make the Eastern Steppes Great Again!

"Sir Knight, your documents are in order. Do you require a guide?"

"No, thank you."

Henry put away his documents and entered the city with his Attendant. This was the city of Odoche, the territory of a Count.

"Finally... freedom."

His Attendant, Bain, led the warhorses and said with a smile, "Yes, my lord. We'll be reaching the fief soon. No more suffering at the academy."

Henry laughed and shook his head. "Haha, life at the academy was tiring, but it wasn't suffering. We've been on the road for a month. Come on, I'll take you to a tavern to relax."

The two found a tavern that looked decent, handed their horses to the stable boy, and went inside to order two glasses of wine and a plate of cured meat from the owner.

The owner saw the weapons, armor, and noble crest on Henry, and chose to serve him first, offering only an apology to his other customers.

Henry was a transmigrator, reborn into this world as an infant, the second son of a minor noble family.

This world was magical. It had a name he was familiar with—Caladia—but many things were not as he remembered.

The Twenty-Four Hour System, the Twelve-Month Year System, cultural customs that were similar yet different, a hodgepodge of surnames and monetary systems, various Half-Beastmen and other sentient races...

Henry had originally thought that in this life, he would finish primary and secondary school, then return to his family's fief to help with the accounts and live out his days in peace and comfort.

But unexpectedly, on the day he came of age, he acquired the Overlord Panel from Mount & Blade!

Henry immediately went to his biological father in this world and insisted that he had to enroll in the Royal Capital Knight Academy.

His academic scores were good enough, but the slightly expensive tuition required his old man's support.

"Henry, the money for three years at the Knight Academy is no small sum. The family fief only consists of three villages and an earthen fort. If I give you this money, I won't be able to provide you with any further help... This will put your brother in a difficult position."

"I only need your help this one time. I'm begging you, Father."

His biological father in this world was moved by the word "Father." He thought of how Henry had grown from a babbling infant into the most cultured man in the family. A soft spot in his heart was touched, and he secretly gave Henry the tuition money.

After that, Henry sent one letter home every year, but other than that, he never returned.

In his dorm at the academy, Henry would often shed a few tears. He had lived in his home in this world for eighteen years—a full eighteen years!

But he didn't regret it. 'If you get a cheat, you have to go out and make waves! If you transmigrate without a cheat, what's the difference from just wasting your life in a different place?'
