"Yueyue! Can't you hurry up?!" Lei Lei was like an ant on a hot griddle, pacing back and forth and constantly glancing at Bai Yue, who was doing her hair in front of the vanity.
The wooden comb in Bai Yue's hand glided smoothly through her hair, and soon, a full ponytail was effortlessly tied up.
"What's the rush? The party doesn't even start until seven-thirty!" Bai Yue said, exasperated.
Lei Lei watched Bai Yue refuse to even put on makeup, only dabbing on a bit of lipstick. She pouted. "Figures. Someone with a boyfriend can afford to be lazy!"
"I'm just worried I'll steal your thunder. What if no guys ask for your WeChat then?" Bai Yue joked.
Bai Yue was inwardly reluctant to go to this Christmas mixer with another class. But it was their first semester and attendance was mandatory for everyone. Besides, Lei Lei had been begging her to come along and check out the cute guys, so she couldn't bring herself to refuse.
