At the school gate, Wu Yun looked at a reluctant Bai Yue and smiled, caressing her cheek. "Hurry inside! Your class is about to start."
Seeing that Bai Yue's eyes were still welling up with tears, Wu Yun sighed. "Don't be like this! Cheer up! If you miss me, you can just come see me on the weekend!"
"I promise you! I'll come to the Capital City to spend Christmas with you, by Christmas at the latest!"
With Wu Yun's assurance, a smile finally bloomed on Bai Yue's face, but the redness at the corners of her eyes made her look endearing and vulnerable.
Wu Yun pulled Bai Yue into a hug and gave her a loud smooch on the lips.
"Hey! You got spit all over me!" Bai Yue complained, though a smile played on her lips.
"Alright, I'm off! We have to catch a flight to Hangzhou and then get a car to Wuzhen."
