Wu Yun held a finger to his lips for silence. Once the room quieted down, he continued, "Alright, let's get serious! I'm really glad we're all in the same class and will be spending the next four years together."
"The other day, when I asked the class monitor to tell you all to form a cheer squad for me... that was just a joke."
Seeing everyone looking at him with curiosity, Wu Yun went on, "My idea was simple: now that military training is over and none of us have much going on, I thought it would be a good time for us all to get a meal together."
"My second reason is that after training, none of us really know each other well, aside from our own roommates. That's why I had the idea to randomize the seating. And hey, if my little stunt helps a couple or two get together in our class, wouldn't that be even better? We've got to keep the good stuff in the family, right?"
