Liam Wentworth was a handful—the type to get carried away with a little encouragement. Sheila Sinclair calling him "Liam" had thrilled him to no end. With his high fever gone, he felt a restless, boundless energy, but after waiting and waiting in his room, his wife still hadn't come back.
Bored, he headed straight for Kian Jacobs's room.
Kian and Silas Thorne were in the middle of discussing a partnership between their families. Liam Wentworth's brow furrowed. "You're here for a wedding and you're still talking business? You two are such workaholics."
"Feeling better?" Kian Jacobs raised an eyebrow at him.
"Just about. Thorne, it's already evening. When is your wife coming back?"
Silas Thorne flipped through a document and said gently, "Are you asking about my wife, or your own?"
"Don't even mention her. She had the doctor give me a shot in the ass. It still hurts when I sit down."
"I thought you were here looking for her."
