In late August, Zoe Rhodes went to register at Capella Normal University.
She had originally planned to live on campus, but Zane Hawthorne wouldn't allow it.
He said it would be better for her to keep living with him.
She refused. After all, it didn't seem right for a single man and woman to be living together indefinitely.
They even had a fight over it.
Although, it couldn't really be called a fight.
After all, Zane Hawthorne was such a man of few words, it took him ages to force out a sentence. A real argument was out of the question.
But that guy, Zane Hawthorne, was a master of the silent treatment.
She'd refuse, and he'd just go silent.
He looked completely dejected and listless.
"I'll be living on campus. It'll be easy for you to come see me."
"Yes. And it will be just as easy for *them* to find you."
"…" Zoe was speechless. On second thought, he did seem to have a point.
