Hearing the voice beside her, Evelyn Grant instinctively looked over.
The doctor quickly steadied her wrist. "Don't move. You're on an IV drip."
Perhaps afraid of startling her, the doctor's warning was spoken in a soft, gentle whisper, wary of causing Evelyn any discomfort.
She lay there quietly for a while, feeling like she had recovered a little, before finally speaking in a hoarse voice, "Am I... okay?"
